September 25, 2011 Trek did a double water entry retrieve like a champ. He is on his way!
September 24, 2011 Trek's first official retrieve on water! Excellent swimmer, picked up his bird and delivered to hand.
September 15, 2011 Trek continues to learn at lightening, speed. Life is good and the journey just keeps getting better! The Flintstones are 4 weeks old this week. They are growing by leaps and bounds.
August 15, 2011 Flint became a Daddy today to 4 lovely girls. The Flint's Stones are doing just great!
August 7, 2011 My Murph turned 8 years old today. He spent his day chasing birds and swimming in the canal. Extra goodies for dinner.
June 10, 2011 Life with Trek is good. He is learning at lightening speed. He and Flint are best buddies.
May 27, 2011 The new little guy in my life came home today! He captured my heart in a second. He was a saint the whole way home and he slept through the night like the best little boy that he is.
April 3, 2011 A new chapter begins as Asterion Twist of Fate, call name Trek was born today. I'm so happy this baby boy is in my life.
March 23, 2011 Flint acting like his old self. He will be on medication the rest of his life. The painful decision was made to retire Flint due to the relapse of VF and the discovery of a C6-C7 fusion with MRI that leaves him vulnerable to paralysis with a compression hit.
January 10, 2011 Flint had a relapse of Valley Fever after being taken off his medication in November. This time Cocci Meningitis the most lethal form. Again, his life was saved!
October 29, 2010 I had to say good bye to my Kal Man. I gave him peace in the end, He gave me everything in between. It was one of the hardest things I had to do, yet I knew it was the right thing. We had a wonderful journey, and our dance together I will forever cherish. I miss you my friend!
October 20, 2010 Happy Birthday to my hubby Cliff! Flint celebrated by not taking his medication for the first time. We will have to continue to monitor him for at least a year before we can call him cured but it is a big milestone today to be off meds!
10-10-10 Corning, California and the site of the Master National. 2 year old Flint continued his Cinderella Story by finishing the Master National in style. He had only 1 handle through the weeks grueling 6 series earning him his first MN plate and ribbon. My boy Roy finished all 6 series of the Master National but came up just short of qualifying.
October 10,2010 The Kal Man is at the 6 month mark. Although Cancer continues to take him a little at a time, he is heroic in his fight. Now blind he has adapted unbelievably well. His courage inspires me!
September 1, 2010 Bloodwork, Urine and culture all came back excellent for the "Kal Man". He continues to thrive, walking on the leg they said would never heal and sometimes running. Still all holistic!
August 30, 2010 More good news as ALL of Flint's lab work came back excellent. Blood values all within normal range and best of all. The Cocci titer came back negative. After the National, Flint will be taken off all medication and monitored.
August 28 & 29, 2010 Lolita, CA, On the coast, Flint and Roy passed their first Master for the New Season!
July 16,2010 Kal's blood work came back better than mine. He is eating like a horse and wagging his tail feeling good. He is now bearing weight on a fractured leg they said would never heal. Does Holistic medicine really work?
June 16 - 20th, 2010 in Glide, Oregon Flint passed his 7th and 8th Master test over the grueling long weekend. He is now 8 for 9.
April 29& 30, 2010 in Fallon, NV Flint passed his 6th Master Hunt test becoming a new Master Hunter and qualifying for the Master National at just 2 years old. Flint passed 6 of the last 7 tests. He is now Asterion Flint Shoot for the Stars MH! A big thanks for Jim Dobbs my mentor for helping to make my dreams come true. The news of this Cinderella story brought a smile to my face. I'm sorry to have missed it all but my place was with Kal.
April 26, 2010 I am faced with a crisis as my beloved Kal is diagnosed with Hystiocytic Sarcoma. It was the culprit for his fractured Right hip. We are going to take one day at a time and live in the moment as Kal wants. I love you Kal Man!
April 24 & 25, 2010 in Corning, CA Flint passed his 5th Master Hunt test. He is now 5 for 6.
April 24, 2010 A very Happy 10th Birthday to my Kal Man. Lots to celebrate for making it to double digits. Special dinner and Frosty Paws for everyone!
April 16 & 17, 2010 in Medford, OR Flint passed his 4th Master Hunt test while I was busy judging Junior and Senior for the weekend.
March 27 & 28, 2010 at Fairfiled, CA I was invited to do my first judging assignment with the Nor Cal club, Junior on Saturday and Senior on Sunday! It was a great weekend with many of my Flat Coat buddies in attendance.
March 27 & 28, 2010 at Fairfield, CA Flint passed his 3rd Master test in a row! The little guy is on a roll.
March 13 & 14 in Los Banos, CA Flint returned to hunt tests after almost a 3 month lay off and amazing recovery from Valley Fever. He passed a tough Master test for his 2nd Master pass. Words can not even begin to describe my emotions!
Feb 23, 2010 Flint's chest x-ray came back clear. He was given the ok to return to work with constant monitoring.
Feb 19&20, 2010 In Los Banos, CA, my Roy passed his 6th hunt test ior his 3rd Master National Qualification in as many years.
January 30, 2010 marks the 4th anniversary of my soon to be 10 year old Kal's recovery from bloat! Every day is a blessing and it has never been taken for granted! I love you Kal Man. I'm so grateful we got to spend more time together.
January 15, 2010 Flint has responded extremely well to IV therapy. We took a break from therapy today as there was a concern of side effects from medication build-up. Good news is that blood work and urinanalysis looked great!
Dec 21, 2009 This is not news I wanted to post. Today my Flinty was diagnosed with Valley Fever! We are now on a different journey to heal and treat this horrible fungal infection and to spread the word that it can happen to you and your fur kids. Yes it can affect humans and animals! BEWARE!
Dec 1, 2009 Murph and friends went pheasant hunting. Murph bagged 2 pheasants today!
Nov 14 & 15, 2009 Little 2 year old Flint passed his first Master test in just his 3rd Hunt test in Lost Hills, CA!
Nov 2, 2009 A very Happy 2nd Birthday to my young boy Flint! It was a Texas celebration with a new collar!
Oct 23-Nov 1, 2009 4 year old Roy and I passed our First Master National in Giddings, Texas! Wow what a ride!
Sept 26, 2009 yearling Flint made his debut in Master! He smacked the first series triple and double blind! I was grinning from ear to ear.
August 7, 2009 Happy 6th Birthday to my Murph! I wish you many more my wonderful boy. You've taught me so much these last 6 years!
May 22-25, 2009 Roy and I passed back to back Master tests on Sauvies island in Portland, Oregon!
May 2-5, 2009 Roy and I passed numbers 7 & 8 in Fallon, NV in back to back Master tests!
April 24, 2009 Kal turned 9 years young today, exceeding the average life span for a Flat Coat! Every day is a blessing considering I almost lost my beloved boy to bloat 3 years ago! I saved my boy's life then but he has saved mine in so many ways before and since!
April 6, 2009 Roy and I passed our 6th Master pass this year, 5 in a row in White City, OR. Murphy has been on sick leave with bronchitis!
April 5, 2009 Roy and I passed our 5th qualifying pass for the Master National in Anderson, CA . Texas here we come!
March 29, 2009, Murphy passed his 2nd Master National Qualifier and I handled my buddy Roy to his 4th Qualifier. It was all bittersweet as I said good-bye to my Sweet Jane, 13 yrs young. She will be forever missed.
Feb 14 2008 Murphy and I competed in our 1st hunt test of the season. We went out in the 2nd series but not after being the only dog to line the difficult blind in the 1st series. It will be a memory to last a lifetime.
Sept, 19-28, 2008, I competed in the AKC Master National in Virginia, Minnesota with my good buddy Roy!
On Oct. 4-5, 2008, Murphy qualified in the MH test!
On July 24-27, 2008 at the Flat Coat Agility trial Kal earned his NAJ title and earned 2 legs of his OAJ!
On July 19, 2008, Murphy earned his 2nd CDX leg!
On April 19-20, 2008, Murphy qualified in the MH test!
On April 9, 2008, Murphy won first place in the Field Trial Dog show class at the National Specialty!
On April 7, 2008 Kal earned his 4th CD leg and Qualified for the PARADISE Award at the National Specialty!
On April 6, 2008, Murphy won Reserve Steady Singles at the National Specialty!
On April 6, 2008 Kal received 2 qualifying scores in Novice Standard and preferred and 1st place in both!
On April 4, 2008 Kal received qualified in the JH hunt test at the Flat Coat National Specialty in Albany, OR!
On Dec. 30, 2007, Murphy earned his first CDX leg!
On July 22, 2007, Murphy finished his CD title while running back and forth between series of a Master test, where he aced all but the last blind!
On July 15, 2007, Murphy earned his 5th leg to finish his Master Hunter title, qualifying in his last 3 straight tests!
On June 24, 2007, Murphy earned his 2nd CD leg with a placement in Novice B!
On his way home from the Specialty on June 16, Murphy earned his 4th MH leg!
On June 13, 2007, Murphy won 3rd place in Field Trial Dog class, qualifying him for a Hat Trick Award for ribbons in 3 sports!
On June 12, 2007, Murphy earned his first CD leg at the Specialty!
On June 8-9, 2007, at the FCRSA National Specialty, Murphy ran the FT Qualifying Stake on Friday, doing a nice job on the triple and the double blind, had some trouble on the water blind, and then pinned the water triple as test dog! On Saturday, he earned his 3rd MH leg!
On April 21-22, 2007, Murphy earned his second MH leg!
On March 10-11, 2007, Murphy earned his first Master Hunter leg!
On Nov. 26, 2006, Murphy finished his Championship with his third major!
On Oct. 28, 2006, Murphy (needing a single point to finish), was Reserve in an entry of 5 class dogs!
On Oct. 7-8, 2006, Murphy won his second major for 4 more points (plus Best of Winners!) on Saturday and 2 more points on Sunday, giving him 14 with both majors!
On Sept. 2, 2006, Murphy was Reserve to the major in CA, and on Sept. 3 he won the major!
On May 6-7, 2006, Murphy passed the first series in both the Qualifying stake and the MH test at the National Specialty! Murphy also made the cut in Open Dogs!
